The Well Data Import feature enables users to connect to a supported data provider, synchronize well data, review import results, and populate a new ERA well design with available data.

Prerequisites

  •  Ensure you have valid credentials for the selected data provider.
  •  Verify that your account has permission to access the required well data.
  •  Start with a new or blank well design in ERA.

Import Well Data

1. Create or Open a Blank Well Design

Begin by creating a new well design or opening an existing blank design in ERA.

2. Launch the Well Data Import Tool

Click the Well Data Import icon from the toolbar.

3. Connect to a Data Provider

Click Connect Data. Select the appropriate Data Provider and click Login. A browser tab will open for authentication.

4. Select Data to Import

Choose the appropriate project, well, or connection details and click Connect Provider.

5. Choose Artifacts for Synchronization

Select desired artifacts or Select All, then click Sync Data.

6. Review the Sync Report

Review missing fields, warnings, and errors. Not all artifacts map 1:1 from DrillPlan to ERA. Some fields may require manual entry before calculations can run correctly.

7. Import the Data

Click Import and confirm the action.

8. Complete the Import

The well design closes and reopens with imported data loaded.

Troubleshooting

Review the Sync Report for mapping issues, permissions, or authentication errors if expected data is missing.
